I'm just going to come right out and say it... I hate environmentalists. I mean, I really really really REALLY loathe them. And I especially can't stand those that blather on and on and on and ON about global warming. Screw global warming. I would die a happy man if I never had to hear anyone talk about that subject ever again.
OK, look - I don't deny the science behind global warming. I don't deny that human existence and our industrial society have an effect on the environment that negatively affects it (I don't CARE about it, mind you, but I won't pretend that it doesn't exist). But that's not what global warming REALLY is. What global warming REALLY is, is a bunch of shrill left-wingers with a bad case of paranoia screaming about the end of the world. I swear to your god, I picture every one of them wearing a sandwich board, standing on the hood of their car, ringing a loud bell.
[southern televangelist voice:] "THE END IS NEAR, MY CHILDREN! UNLESS YOU EEEEND YO SINFUL WAAAAAYS, THE ALMIGHTY DAMNATION THAT IS GLLLOOOOOOBAL WARRRRMING WILL SWWWAAAAALLOW YOU WHOLE! SEPARATE YO CANS AND BOTTLES, OR FEEL THE FUUUUUUUURY OF THE GLOBAL WARMING! TOSS AWAAAY THAT SINFUL CAR OF YOURS AND DRIIIIIVE A HYBRID, ELSE THE GLOBAL WARMING WILL CAAAAAAST YOU DOWN! I swear... when people start blathering to me about global warming, I have to actively restrain myself from punching them in the face. Oh, how sweet that would be...
